Role Description
The Handyman’s Helper is a full-time, on-site role based in Langley, BC, supporting restoration, repair, and maintenance projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and retail properties. Day-to-day tasks include assisting handypersons with general repairs, carrying materials and tools, preparing and cleaning work sites, and supporting tasks such as minor demolition, painting prep, basic flooring work, and cleanup. The role also involves helping with restoration work for properties affected by flooding, weather, collision,



or vandalism, as well as supporting cleaning services such as debris removal and basic power washing setup. The Handyman’s Helper follows safety procedures, communicates clearly with team members and clients when needed, and helps ensure work is completed efficiently and to company quality standards.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of general repairs, maintenance, and use of common hand and power tools.

Ability to assist with painting, flooring installation, and minor demolition or restoration tasks.

Comfort with physical work, including lifting, carrying materials, working on ladders, and standing for extended periods.

Strong attention to safety practices and willingness to follow company guidelines and instructions.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site in various weather and property conditions.

Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, tradespeople, and clients.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Langley, BC.

Previous experience in construction, restoration, cleaning, or property maintenance is an asset but not required.

Willingness to learn new skills, adapt to changing job requirements, and support emergency service calls when needed.
