Summary
We are looking for a Pastry Cook 3 – Lead to join our culinary team. This exciting role for you to apply your culinary passion and create flawless dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
Genuine passion for culinary excellence, demonstrated through leadership, creativity, and a strong commitment to quality and consistency.
Responsible for preparation and production of all menu items across assigned kitchen outlets, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Execute consistent, high-quality food production by reviewing recipes, preparing ingredients, cooking, plating, and following Hyatt culinary standards and specifications.
Support the Pastry Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, menu development, specials, training, and mentoring junior culinary members.
Assist in supervising and coordinating the culinary team during service, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism.
Ensure full compliance with food‑safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, HACCP documentation, and accurate storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
Actively contribute as a collaborative leader, supporting the department in achieving operational goals while fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Maintain flexible availability to support departmental scheduling and business demands.
Possess valid work authorization for Canada.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of professional pastry experience in a restaurant,
hotel, or resort environment; leadership or supervisory experience is considered an asset.
Culinary degree preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen.
Demonstrated expertise in safely and efficiently operating a broad range of commercial kitchen equipment.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
Collaborative, engaged team player with a robust commitment to continuous professional growth and career development.

This role will typically allow a minimum of 30 hours per week.
