Job Summary We are looking to recruit talented students for our Pricing, Valuation, and Project teams. The internships provide an opportunity to obtain valuable hands‑on industry experience from experts in the field while participating and contributing to the teams' work and vision. The roles are as follows:

Note that the posted positions are for a 4‑month work term, with the flexibility of extending to 8 months. PartnerRe also offers an opportunity for interns to return and gain experience with our various actuarial teams. This rotation chance is dependent on the performance of the student in their first term.
About The Role AXIS Modelling – Design and build projection models for individual life reinsurance transactions.
Data Analysis – Work extensively with large datasets in SQL and R to perform rigorous analysis of client/enforce experience data.
Financial Analysis – Assist in the preparation and analysis of reserves, required capital, and financial statements.
Project Work – Provide support to Valuation and Pricing functions (experience analysis, IFRS17, LDTI, etc.).

Qualifications Second/Third/Fourth year student in Actuarial Science.
A minimum of one Society of Actuaries exam.
Understanding of life insurance products. Previous work experience with life insurance would be considered an asset.
Strong technical skills including MS Excel and SQL or similar database management tool. R Programming skills are desirable.
Experience with the GGY AXIS actuarial system is an asset.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into the Toronto location, is CAD 1,125 – 1,375 per week. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks. The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills, market conditions, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
Working Arrangement PartnerRe operates with a hybrid work approach that balances in‑office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Employees are required to be in the office 3 days a week.
