Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cake Decorator/Baker to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cake decorating, baking, and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. This role involves crafting beautiful, high-quality cakes and baked goods that delight our customers. Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or bakery settings, is highly preferred. The successful candidate will contribute to creating an inviting atmosphere through exceptional product presentation and customer service.

Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards
Package finished products carefully for sale or delivery, ensuring presentation quality
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support overall kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations




Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with cake selections and answering questions about products
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods

Requirements
Proven experience in cake decorating and baking within a bakery, restaurant, or food service setting
Robust skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and creative design
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety standards
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a quick-paced setting
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Experience with food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen
Familiarity with packaging baked goods for retail or event purposes
Kitchen experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $17.60 per hour
