Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery equipment at our worksites and shop. This role requires solid mechanical expertise, hands-on experience with various tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced setting. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates safely and reliably, supporting our operational needs across multiple site.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment such as excavators and backhoes.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Conduct welding, assembly, and replacement of parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes after repairs to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities,



and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all repair procedures.
Develop and maintain the preventative maintenance program for the fleet.

Skills
10+ years experience in dealership or industrial equipment repair with a focus on excavators.
Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, and use of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors regarding equipment repairs and/or maintenance needs.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
