We are seeking a Service Writer to join our team at an automotive mechanical and tire shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist them with scheduling service appointments
Communicate with mechanics to ensure accurate service estimates and timelines
Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and services to customers
Handle cash transactions and process payments
Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs
Maintain customer records and vehicle history accurately
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure necessary parts are available for repairs
Skills:
Prior experience in an automotive repair setting or tire shop is preferred
Robust mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with technicians and customers
Proficiency in cash handling procedures
Ability to upsell services or products while maintaining customer satisfaction
Excellent customer service skills to address inquiries and concerns promptly
Sales experience is a plus for promoting additional services
