DIETARY AIDE - 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm shift

Reporting to the Food and Nutrition Manager, the Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring work areas are in a safe and sanitary condition, and assisting in maintaining a protected and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Clean/set-up the dining room for meal service.
Serve meals to residents in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Wash and sanitize cooking tools and small wares and deep clean all service stations.
General kitchen duties and others, as assigned.
Ensure standards of resident dietary services are consistently achieved.
Ensure all MOHLTC and Public Health requirements are met.

Job Requirements:
Food Service Worker/Dietary Aide Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Management.
Cook experience required
Food Handler Certification.
A Vulnerable Sector Screening check completed in the last 6 months.
The ability to read, write,



and communicate orally in English.
Previous working experience in the food sector
Experience in a Long-Term Care Home or with seniors preferred.
