Responsibilities
Fabricate and finish lenses according to prescriptions using specialized optical equipment
Inspect finished eyewear for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
Maintain detailed records of lens orders, adjustments, and quality checks
Assist with the assembly of frames and fitting lenses into eyewear components
Collaborate with retail staff to ensure timely delivery of completed eyewear products
Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory environment




Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering materials as needed

Requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and optics
Previous laboratory experience or hands-on experience with optical equipment preferred
Familiarity with optical processes such as lens edging, coating, and mounting
Retail sales experience or understanding of customer service in an optical setting is a plus
Ability to operate complex machinery like edgers, polishers, and measuring devices accurately
Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
Basic understanding of Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous
Experience in retail management or sales roles can enhance your effectiveness in this position

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
