T Bell Transport Inc. is looking to hire a Lead Hand / 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our team. This role is located in Nairn Centre.
The role of the Mechanic is to ensure effective operation of various on / off highway equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing components where required and to carry out all duties in a safe and effective manner.
Assist apprentices' with repair of a mixed fleet of equipment.
Assist with prioritizing and delegating work amongst shop mechanics.
Perform preventative maintenance such as inspections, lubricating, oil changes and failure analysis.
Diagnose faults and malfunctions and carryout necessary repairs including major component replacement and repair or rebuild.
Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other policies, procedures and requirements.
Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
Valid 310T Truck and Coach License.
Valid Drivers License.
Minimum 2 years leadership experience (preferred)
Knowledge of Paccar, Detroit, Cummins computer programs (preferred)
Experience with Chip Trailers, Float Trailers and various brands of Tractor’s
Kenworth / Western Star / Mack / Volvo / International experience an asset
Other:
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems
Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to perform service calls
Oversee shop repairs
Positive communication and interpersonal skills
