STEM Assistant Instructor at RoboThink Northwest Toronto

RoboThink is looking for energetic, patient, and friendly STEM Assistant Instructors to help our programs where kids have fun while learning!

We are a STEM edu-tainment company that introduces children in grades K-8 to robotics and coding concepts through the use of our patented robot building blocks and easy-to-use coding software. We’re looking to expand our company with smart, creative, and fun instructors to join our team!

Qualifications:
Energetic and passionate about working with/educating K-8 children
Experienced with technology, robotics and/or coding (Scratch, Python etc.) or willing to learn and be proficient at it
Solid adaptability, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to take initiative, work well independently and with a team
Have patience and empathy to support and encourage learners at different skill levels and paces
Must have a car and be able to travel to running classes located in King City, Nobleton and surrounding areas
Must be available to work weekends and some weekdays
Prior experience in camps, tutoring, coaching sports or recreation programs in a learning setting an asset
Certifications in CPR-C/AED and/or High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development an asset





Prior knowledge of robotics/coding is NOT necessary. We are more than happy to provide training to candidates who do not have a robotics/coding background.

Job Description:
Familiarize oneself with RoboThink hardware and course materials, carefully study the instructor training manual, classroom procedures, and policies
Assist STEM Instructor with using RoboThink materials to conduct classes – pay attention to individual students to help them with the learning process and organize fun games in class
Provide feedback and concerns back to RoboThink's management team
Administrative tasks such as organizing curriculum materials and equipment
Assist in organizing, clean up and packing away of classroom materials for transport to other locations or back to storage

Job Types: Part time, Contract

Contract length: At least 3 months (Renewable)
