About the role
Our call centre travel agents are the human voice of shoptravel— the co-pilot Canadians reach when they are planning a trip, making a booking, or need a steady hand along the way. In this role you will help travellers turn ideas into itineraries, guide them through their options with warmth and expertise, and make every interaction feel personal and dependable.
This role is fully bilingual: you will support travellers in both English and French. If you love travel, love helping people, and want to be part of a brand building something new in Canada, we would love to talk to you.
What you will do
Be the first point of contact for travellers across phone, chat, and email, in both English and French
Advise travellers on destinations, vacation packages, flights, hotels, and stays, and help build itineraries that fit their needs and budget
Provide clear, accurate information on pricing, availability, policies, and shoptravel features such as Flexpay and Protect Your Trip
Process bookings, changes, cancellations, and refunds accurately and efficiently
Resolve questions and issues with empathy and follow-through, escalating when needed
Meet service quality, customer satisfaction,
and conversion targets
Stay current on destinations, promotions, and supplier products so your advice is always useful
Keep accurate records in our booking and CRM systems
Deliver the warm, expert, co-pilot experience shoptravel is known for on every interaction
What you bring
Fluency in English and French, spoken and written — required
Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or a contact centre environment; travel or hospitality experience is a strong asset
A genuine passion for travel and for helping people
Strong communication, active listening, and problem‑solving skills
Comfort working with booking systems and CRM tools, and the ability to learn new technology quickly
Availability to work flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends
A calm, positive, service‑first attitude
TICO certification, or willingness to obtain it (training supported)
Nice to have
Experience selling leisure travel, vacation packages, or cruises
Working knowledge of a GDS (for example Sabre or Amadeus)
