The City of Penticton is hiring a Relief Bylaw Enforcement Officer to help maintain a safe workplace for its residents. In this role, you will conduct inspections, address bylaw violation complaints, and provide educational outreach to the community. The position includes collaborative work with local partners to alleviate issues and enhance the overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address customer bylaw complaints through investigations
• Patrol parks, trails, and public areas
• Assist in adjudicating bylaw prosecutions
• Prepare and deliver written reports
• Instruct new officers as part of the training program
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience in a municipal setting
• Training in conflict management
• High school certification and Bylaw I & II qualifications
• Valid B.C. Driver’s License required
• Successful Criminal Record Check
