Ronald McDonaldHouse Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and sevenFamily Rooms in hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury. Thefamilies we serve come from throughout Ontario, across Canada and around theworld.
We are lookingfor a Revenue & Finance Coordinator to join our finance team at theHouse.
The Role Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Revenue & Finance Coordinator is responsible for the timelyand accurate processing of donations, payments, and other cash receipts. Thisrole plays an integral part in supporting the Finance team by maintainingaccurate financial records, performing routine reconciliations, preparing bankdeposits, and assisting with revenue administration activities.
Working closely with the Finance, Development, andFamily Services teams, the Revenue & Finance Coordinator ensures revenuetransactions are accurately recorded, supporting documentation is complete, andcharitable donations are processed in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency(CRA) requirements and organizational policies. The role also providesoperational support to the Development team through a functional reportingrelationship, helping ensure donor information, fundraising revenue, and financialrecords are accurate, complete, and aligned across systems.
The successful candidate will work onsite atRonald McDonald House Toronto, Monday through Friday, supporting the day-to-dayfinancial operations of the organization while contributing to the integrity ofdonor and financial data.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Process and record donations, payments, andother cash receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Development team to ensuredonations are recorded accurately and in accordance with establishedfundraising coding standards, donor database procedures, and businessrequirements.
Process and issue charitable donation taxreceipts in accordance with CRA regulations and organizational policies,ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.
Prepare, reconcile, and deliver bank depositswhile ensuring funds are securely handled and supported by appropriatedocumentation.
Perform routine reconciliations betweenfundraising systems, accounting records, government reports,



and bank deposits,investigating and resolving discrepancies as appropriate.
Maintain accurate donor, revenue, and cashreceipt records, ensuring proper coding and data integrity.
Process transaction adjustments, corrections,refunds, and returned payments as required.
Assist with monthly reconciliations of roomreceipts and other revenue-related accounts.
Prepare routine cash receipt and revenue reportsand provide supporting documentation for month-end and year-end processes.
Support annual audits and regulatory reportingby organizing and providing requested financial documentation.
Respond to routine inquiries from internaldepartments regarding donations, cash receipts, and revenue transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end activities,including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.
Compile and organize supporting documentationfor annual audits and other financial reviews.
Assist with the preparation of the annual T3010Charity Information Return and other regulatory filings.
Support the preparation of routine financial,revenue, and Board reports, as required.
Adhere to organizational financial policies,internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and identify opportunities forprocess improvements.
Participate in special projects and performother duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience College diploma in Business Administration,Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of experiencein financial administration, accounting, donation processing, or datamanagement.
Experience maintaining accurate financialrecords, donor records, and preparing reports.
Experience processing charitable donations orworking in the non-profit sector is considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of Canada Revenue Agency(CRA) charitable tax receipting rules and guidelines.
Experience with Raiser's Edge, Raiser’s EdgeNXT, Financial Edge, Blackbaud NetCommunity, Import-O-Matic, or similarfundraising or accounting software is considered an asset.
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite,particularly Excel.
