Enhance student learning as a Casual Journeyman Cook with Rocky Mountain School District #6 in the Windermere Zone. This role focuses on food preparation and instructional duties within a school kitchen.
As a Journeyman Cook, you will supervise students and help them develop cooking skills while managing daily meal preparation. Work under a Teacher’s oversight to ensure effective meal production and adherence to safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen. A BC Journeyman Cook certificate and prior food preparation experience are required for applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise food preparation assignments with students
• Demonstrate and teach proper cooking and hygiene techniques
• Manage daily meal production and menu preparation
• Ensure optimal operation of kitchen equipment
• Participate actively in keeping the kitchen clean
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent necessary
• Food Safe certification is mandatory
• Must possess a BC Journeyman Cook certificate
• Robust background in food production methods
• Capability to perform extensive cooking tasks
