Responsibilities
Assign and schedule trucks efficiently using transportation management systems to optimize routes and delivery times
Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
Track shipments and update freight status in systems such as SyteLine or AS400 to ensure accurate data entry and real-time information sharing
Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies
Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain
Manage shipping schedules, troubleshoot delays,



and provide solutions to keep freight moving smoothly
Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment logs, and related documentation for audit purposes

Requirements
Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software such as SyteLine or AS400
Robust understanding of supply chain processes, freight operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping
Analytical skills to assess routing options, shipment statuses, and operational efficiencies
Exceptional communication skills paired with skilled phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems
Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and related documentation requirements
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
