Support individuals with mental health challenges as a relief Mental Health & Substance Use Support Worker at the Boundary Health Centre in Grand Forks, B.C. Work part time to deliver life-changing support and guidance.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive support services, including life skills training and crisis intervention, tailored to clients' individual needs. Your interventions will be aligned with psychosocial rehabilitation principles and focused on promoting client self-sufficiency across various life domains, including education and work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Train clients in essential life skills and relapse prevention
• Facilitate goal attainment and monitor client progress
• Intervene to avert potential client crises
• Coordinate, plan, and evaluate rehabilitation programs
• Report client status to multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 education
• Diploma relevant to mental health support
• At least two years of experience in the field
• Food Secure Certification
• Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5)
