Enhance early school-age development as a Kuumba Project Coordinator. Support young mothers and their 3-5-year-old children within cultural communities, focusing on mental health.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Maternal Infant Mental Health, this full time position allows you to make a significant impact on vulnerable families. You'll lead initiatives tailored to the unique challenges faced by Black and racialized communities, utilizing your expertise in child development and nurturing essential relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage the Kuumba Project activities
• Lead group sessions on parenting strategies
• Establish therapeutic relationships with children
• Execute evidence-based practices informed by community needs




• Collaborate with other programs for comprehensive support

Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Child Development or similar
• 3+ years in child development or mental health experience
• Familiarity with anti-racism practices
• Experience facilitating parenting groups is a plus
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification required

Assist families in navigating mental health resources and educational support to foster secure relationships and healthy development.
