Fluid Life is seeking a Laboratory Sample Processing Clerk to join our Edmonton laboratory team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to gain hands-on experience in a modern, ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.
As part of our laboratory operations team, you will play a critical role in the receipt, preparation, processing, and management of thousands of lubricant, fuel, and coolant samples received daily from customers across North America.
What You'll Do As a member of our laboratory support team, your responsibilities will include:
Sample Processing & Laboratory Support Receive, sort, and log incoming samples
Prepare samples for laboratory testing and analysis
Perform routine subsampling of lubricants, coolants, and fuels
Assist with reagent preparation and basic laboratory processes
Support routine laboratory activities including filtration and sample preparation
Administrative & Data Management Enter and verify sample information accurately in laboratory systems




Confirm billing and sample documentation requirements
Maintain sample archives and records
Coordinate sample storage and disposal procedures
Complete administrative tasks to support laboratory operations
Quality & Safety Adhere to strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures
Follow ISO-accredited laboratory standards and protocols
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications
Strong work ethic and reliability
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred Attributes Interest in laboratory, scientific, or technical work
Previous experience in data entry, sample handling, manufacturing, or laboratory environments is an asset, but not required
