Let’s help you launch your career with Alberta Veterinary Laboratories (“AVL/Solvet”)! We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team on-site in our Calgary facility working 40 hours/week (Monday - Friday).
THE ROLE Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day organization of deliveries and the warehouse.
The objective of this role is to keep the warehouse operating efficiently, in an organized and safe manner.
DAY-TO-DAY Pick, stage, and release materials to production staging areas
Package and prepare finished goods for distribution, ensuring compliance with storage and shipping requirements
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within an ERP system
Label and store materials according to GMP and company standard of procedures
Ensure materials are stored accordingly in the correct environments
Assist with facility sanitation
Keep warehouse areas clean and organized
Utilize RF Scanners to transfer materials between locations
Maintain GMP Compliance
Work closely with operations, quality, production, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth material control
Ensure all relevant logbooks are kept up to date, and entries are GMP compliant
Complete daily equipment checks on all powered industrial trucks
Report GMP non-conformances, deviations, damage or irregularities in the warehouse to the warehouse supervisor or operations manager
Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within an ERP system
Participate in internal and external audits, NCRS, CAPAS, and deviations as required




Assist other departments as required

IDEAL FIT Education & Experience
Minimum 3 years Forklift and Reach Truck experience
GMP Experience is an asset
Skills and Attributes
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
REQUIREMENTS Annual WHMIS training
TDG Certification
Medical Clearance
Valid drivers licence with clean abstract
WORKING CONDITIONS On-site in SE Calgary
GMP compliant facility
40 hours/week (Monday - Friday)
Hours: 8:00AM-4:30PM
Occasional handling, and movement of chemicals and hazardous materials
