Duties / Responsibilities
Play a key role in leading process development and overseeing daily injection molding operations
Be instrumental in the successful launch of new molds
Establish robust and efficient processes, supporting accurate quoting and driving continuous improvement across the company’s molding operations
Injection Molding Process Development - Establish, document, and optimize molding process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) for new and existing tools - Conduct DOE and scientific molding studies to enhance quality, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency - Lead first-off and validation runs for current molds; support PPAP and capability studies in collaboration with Quality - Troubleshoot process issues such as warpage, short shots, and inconsistent cycle times to ensure stable production
Tooling & Mold Review - Determine machine tonnage, clamp force, and shot size requirements for each part / tool at quotation stage - Collaborate with tooling vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure new tools meet company standards and project timelines
Supervision & Technical Leadership - Supervise and mentor injection molding technicians, set‑up staff across all shifts - Ensure process consistency, adherence to standard work, and proper documentation - Develop and deliver technical training programs to improve team competency and troubleshooting skills
