Position Summary

The Program Coordinator provides direct mentorship, recovery support, discipleship, and program guidance to assigned clients while helping maintain the structure, accountability, and transformational culture of the program.



This role plays a key part in supporting each client’s spiritual, emotional, personal, and recovery growth journey.

Key Responsibilities

Client Mentorship & Recovery Support

Provide one-on-one mentorship and accountability to assigned clients

Build healthy supportive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries

Monitor client progress, behaviours, goals, and participation within the program

Encourage spiritual, emotional, relational, and personal growth

Teach and facilitate recovery groups, classes, devotions, and program curriculum

Assist clients in understanding and applying program material

Support healthy participation and engagement during group sessions

Personal Recovery Planning

Develop and oversee customized personal study and recovery plans for clients

Track individual progress and provide ongoing encouragement and accountability

Help clients establish practical life goals, healthy routines, and next steps

Family & Support Communication

Maintain appropriate communication with client families and support systems

Provide updates, encouragement, and support within organizational guidelines

Assist with family restoration and healthy relationship development

Live as an example to the clients in daily behaviour and actions

Model Christ-centered leadership and healthy spiritual maturity

Foster an environment of discipleship, prayer, restoration, and personal growth

Support chapel services, devotions, outreach opportunities, and spiritual mentorship





Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate case notes, progress updates, and incident documentation

Address concerns, behavioural issues, or significant progress to leadership and counselling staff

Participate in case reviews and team discussions

Assist with other administrative request as directed

Case management - medical, legal, social and financial

Additional Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Credentials

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in addiction recovery, ministry, social services, or residential care considered an asset

Possess or willing to obtain post secondary credentials in ministry and/or counseling

Experience with and knowledge of computer systems and web based programs

Experience with mentoring or leading others

Valid First Aid and CPR certifications considered an asset

Valid food handlers certificate

Valid driver’s license

Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Vulnerable Sector Clearance

Ability to mentor, provide advice, support to students on a daily basis

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to juggle multiple demands and remain organized

Willingness to learn with a focus on continuous growth and development

Leadership, both formal and informal

Ability to stay calm in stressful situations

Strong relational skills with an ability to work with all types of personalities

Agreement with organizational mission, values, and faith-based approach

Working with individuals in addiction and recovery

Travel may be required to other locations or within the community for work purposes
