This part-time role in Youth Services is essential for maintaining a protected setting at the Transitional Home. You will welcome youth, facilitate life-skills programming, and respond effectively to crises. Your commitment to harm reduction and trauma-informed care will directly affect the well-being of residents as you help connect them with necessary resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome youth with compassionate, non-judgmental support
Collaborate on care plans addressing safety and goals
Maintain a clean and secure living environment
Provide crisis support and harm-reduction care
Build community partnerships for enhanced support
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in social work or related field
Experience with youth in mental health or residential settings
Knowledge of Housing First and harm-reduction models
Current CPR/First-Aid certification
Familiarity with Toronto Shelter Standards
