At Farmboy Landscaping & Maintenance, we are looking for a talented auto and small engine mechanic to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment, specifically related to Landscaping operations.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills when supervising others. The mechanic will be responsible for inspecting Farmboy vehicles and equipment (lawn mowing and snow removal), diagnosing problems with the engine or other systems, perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs, and engaging in regular preventative maintenance activities.

Candidates with more than three (3) years of mechanic experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.

Fabricate parts as necessary to replace worn or damaged components.

Operate welding equipment for repairs and modifications.

Maintain facilities by performing general maintenance tasks as required.

Document all maintenance activities, repairs,



and parts used in accordance with company policies.

Complete all required paperwork in a timely and correct fashion. Give cost comparisons and quotes for parts

Experience

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.

Solid understanding of mechanical systems, logic controllers, and facilities maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Experience in welding and fabrication is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are essential for this role.

Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
