Job Description
Power Engineer (Class 4 BC)
At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, an exceptional guest experience begins even before check-in and extends throughout every stay. The organizational support that you will provide in this role to the wider hotel operation is integral to the enjoyment of each of our guests, and the maintenance of our facilities.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Starting Rate of Pay: $34.60 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $42.70.





Job Duties Include

Preventative maintenance and servicing of the physical plant (mechanical facilities) and the property

Service and repair duties of all public and guest areas

Ensure that all mechanical rooms exceed cleanliness standards while complying with regulations and other provincial codes

Maintenance of Health Club facilities including hot tubs and pools

Member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Qualifications

4th Class Power Engineering Designation

Pool Operator Level 1 qualification

HVAC Background is an asset

Knowledge of computerized energy management systems is an asset

Prior experience using various hand and power tools
