Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Fredericton, NB

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/hr

Assignment Information:

Advantage Personnel is seeking a Field Technician to join our support team in Fredericton, NB. This role is for a leader who thrives in agile environments, prioritizing excellent customer service. You will work across multiple locations in Fredericton, NB, using technology to coordinate associates. We are looking for a proactive self-starter comfortable with change and skilled in various technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Support end users daily with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Resolve technical issues that require hands-on assistance or exceed Service Desk capabilities.
Deploy IT solutions for end user devices and introduce current technologies like computers, tablets, printers, VoIP phones, network gear, servers, satellite systems, and software.
Analyze and document critical issues, escalating them as needed.




Monitor and ensure prompt escalation of customer issues to internal teams and vendors.
Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installations.
Provide support to retail locations and client affiliates in the Saint John area.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.
3+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.
Customer service-oriented with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
Physical capability to set up and deploy computer equipment.
Proficiency in:
Windows 10
Microsoft 365
Microsoft SCCM
DHCP
DNS
WiFi
Basic networking skills including wireless and endpoint switching (Cisco, Juniper), and client remote access.
Certifications preferred:
Network+
A+
Lenovo Hardware
Dell Hardware
Cisco Switching (CCNA)

Work Conditions:

The Field Technician role involves frequent travel to various job settings, including customer sites, retail locations, and remote areas as needed.
