Full-Time|Based in Langley, BC|Serving Clients Across British Columbia|Entry Level
About the Opportunity Chris Heaney Financial Services Inc. is a growing Sun Life financial services practice based in Langley, BC, serving clients across British Columbia. We take a holistic approach to client service — working with individuals and families on life insurance, health insurance, mutual funds, RRSPs, TFSAs, and other financial products to help them build security and confidence at every stage of life.
We are hiring an Associate Advisor to work within our practice under the guidance of Chris Heaney, a fully licensed Sun Life Advisor with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry since 1991. This is an important distinction: the Associate Advisor role is a licensed, client-facing position that supports and works alongside the lead Advisor. It is an excellent entry point for someone looking to build a long-term career in financial services within an established, successful practice.
People from various professional and educational backgrounds have found success in this career — because being a great advisor is not just about what is on your resume. It is about who you are as a person. If you love talking to people, are disciplined and motivated, value independence, and enjoy learning and developing new skills — let's talk!
About the Role As an Associate Advisor, you will work directly below Chris Heaney (Advisor) in our practice structure. Our approach to client service is holistic — we look at the full picture of each client's needs, including life and health insurance, savings and investment products such as mutual funds, RRSPs, and TFSAs, and protection strategies for individuals and families.
You will be fully licensed to sell life insurance products as a condition of contracting with Sun Life, and you will be expected to obtain your Mutual Fund license within a reasonable period after joining.
