We are seeking an exceptional and passionate Senior UX Designer to join our award-winning, mission-driven Experience Design & Research team. This is a pivotal role for a designer to operate as a UX leader across our design team and cross-functional product stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to define design strategy and drive implementation from initial concept through delivery and launch. What you’ll do Collaborate with the global UX team to design the next generation of public and private safety applications and device interfaces, ensuring design unity and process evolution across the company. Lead the entire product design lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to final delivery—in close collaboration with UX researchers and product managers, turning field insights into reality. Work with product managers to influence product strategy, ensuring a user‑centric and design‑led approach to development. Design ethical, human‑centric experiences around AI and ML technologies. Articulate complex interaction concepts and design rationale clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to secure buy‑in for design solutions.

Conduct usability testing and utilize qualitative/quantitative research and contextual inquiries to inform design decisions. Take ownership of projects, manage communication of timelines, and execute independently. Establish, promote, and evangelize design guidelines, best practices, tools, and standards to evolve our UX practice and craft. Mentor other designers across the team. What we’re looking for Deep knowledge of core UX methodologies including information architecture, storyboarding, journey mapping, rapid ideation, prototyping, usability testing, persona creation, competitive analysis, and system thinking. Proficiency with key design tools (specifically Figma) and familiarity with project management platforms (JIRA). Proven ability to utilize user data and metrics to inform design decisions. AI fluency: experience leveraging and directly using AI tools (e.G., Figma Make, LLM deep research) for brainstorming, prototyping, and accelerating the design workflow. Proven ability to work in direct collaboration with product managers and developers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to implementation. Experience leading collaborative ideation sessions and design workshops that facilitate collaboration between all product stakeholders and deliver meaningful outcomes. A collaborative partner who builds and nurtures strong relationships with designers and business partners. An active listener, strong and clear communicator,

confident presenter capable of engaging stakeholders to manage differences and create buy‑in. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and balancing strategic vision with execution swiftness. Requirements 4+ years of professional experience as a UX designer in digital product design. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, Computer Science (with a focus on HCI), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and hands‑on design execution. Demonstrated mastery of planning and facilitating workshops, design sprints, and customer co‑creation sessions. Target Base Salary Range $100,000 CAD – $120,000 CAD Location Hybrid role operating out of our downtown Vancouver offices. EEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Chance Employer.
