Materials is seeking a qualified Mine Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager for British Columbia Aggregates, this position manages, directs and coordinates the overall mining and production operations at our Sechelt Mine. Provide leadership to the Sechelt mine’s management team and employees in all aspects of mining, production, repair and maintenance, quality control and administration.

Implement and enhance the mine’s safety program to accomplish Heidelberg’s "zero harm" standard. Develop, implement and execute specific strategies, plans and objectives to maximize the utility of resources, continuously improve the mine’s productivity and minimize costs. Develop operating budgets and identify capital spending projects,



prepare their authorization and ensure successful implementation of the recommended projects.

Oversee compliance with environmental and mining regulations, policies and procedures and continue the mine’s award-winning reclamation program. Minimum 10 years’ experience in mining or building materials production Substantial leadership experience with proven track record of achieving results in a complex production environment Work Environment: Role operates primarily a professional office setting, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan Pension retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions Our pre-employment process includes: reference checks, a medical screening, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract check.
