Become a Tenant Support Worker with Lookout Housing and Health Society in Duncan, BC, focusing on empowering adults facing housing challenges through assistance, education, and support. Engage with residents to enhance their independence and create stability in their living situations.
In this casual role, the Tenant Support Worker reports to the Site Manager while adhering to Lookout’s mission and ethics. You will work closely with tenants, conducting intakes, creating service plans, and ensuring their basic needs are met. Responsibilities also include crisis intervention, financial management, and maintaining essential records to enhance tenant stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in tenant intakes and ongoing support services
• Develop and implement service plans with residents
• Conduct crisis intervention for tenants in need
• Maintain records and evaluative data for services provided
• Collaborate with volunteers and practicum students
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service
• Two years of related experience required
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License, if necessary
• OFA 1 First Aid Certificate
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
Contribute to the well-being and independence of vulnerable adults as a Tenant Support Worker with Lookout.
