Support individuals experiencing homelessness as a Housing Services Support Worker at Main Street Project. This permanent position runs night shifts and focuses on harm reduction and goal setting.
Join Main Street Project’s Housing Services team, assisting clients with their basic needs while promoting independence. The role includes coordinating move-ins, conducting safety checks, and medication management. You will implement programs to enhance participants' well-being and connect them with essential resources in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate move-ins for community members with external partners
• Conduct regular floor checks for safety and cleanliness
• Assist with medication management and documentation
• Develop programming to support resident engagement
• Provide crisis support and address immediate needs
Requirements:
• Experience with adults facing homelessness and mental health issues
• Post-secondary education in addictions and mental health
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
• Certification in CPR and Mental Health First Aid
