Empower families and children as a Full-Time Kids First Home Visitor with Eagle Heart Centre Inc. Support young families through home visits, advocacy, and community connections.
In this hands-on role, you'll provide culturally secure and trauma-informed support to families with young children. Reporting to the Senior Home Visitor and Kids First Team Lead, you'll facilitate the development of parenting skills, promote child development, and help families achieve stability in their lives. Your efforts will build trust and foster connections to resources that reflect respect for Indigenous values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular home visits providing support to families
• Advocate for families and connect them to community resources
• Strengthen parenting skills and promote child development
• Maintain professionalism while managing sensitive information
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective service
Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or related field
• Minimum one year experience supporting families in community settings
• Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous worldviews and cultural safety
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
