Become an essential part of the culinary team at Extendicare's Tendercare Living Centre. As a Dietary Aide, you'll serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety for residents.

This part-time role supports the delivery of quality food service in the long-term care environment. You will plate and serve meals according to dietary preferences, clean serving areas, and assist cooks with food preparation. Your attention to detail in maintaining food temperature and adhering to safety practices is crucial in enriching residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve food according to individual diets and preferences
• Maintain appropriate serving temperatures for all meals
• Assist cooks in preparing salads and simple foods




• Clear and clean plates, kitchens, and dining areas
• Stock unit kitchenettes and assemble nourishment carts

Requirements:
• Enrollment or completion of a Food Service Worker Program
• Current Food Handler's Certificate
• 0-1 year of dietary experience in LTC preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
• Must be available for adaptable scheduling
