Position Summary As a Technical Advisor, you will be the go-to technical expert, providing guidance to ensure compliance and uphold industry standards in Ontario's BPV industry. This is your chance to shape standards, influence industry practices, and work on projects that truly make a difference. From guiding inspectors and engineers to representing TSSA on national and international committees,



you will play a pivotal role in protecting lives and advancing technical excellence. Duties & Responsibilities Provide trusted technical advice to inspectors, engineers, and industry partners on inspection procedures, design registration, and quality assurance requirements. Analyze complex inspection and design issues during incident inspections and recommend solutions that uphold safety and compliance. Maintain and enhance TSSA’s Quality Assurance Manual, monitor non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct audits of insurance companies and third-party inspection agencies, ensuring top-tier service quality and regulatory compliance. Represent TSSA on CSA, NBIC, and ASME committees, contributing to the development of codes and standards that set the benchmark for the industry. Design and deliver technical training programs for internal teams and external stakeholders, making complex regulations accessible and actionable. Collaborate with IT and data teams on CRM systems and data integrity projects, ensuring accurate certification records and exam content. Prepare for and support external evaluations by regulatory bodies, including ASME audits, to maintain TSSA’s certification and reputation. Job Qualifications Education & Credentials Undergraduate degree in science or engineering. National Board certifications and TSSA Certificate of Competency (or ability to obtain within 12 months).



Experience & Expertise 3+ years in BPV technical consultation, engineering, or inspection. Deep knowledge of Ontario BPV Regulations and industry codes (ASME, CSA). Skilled in audits, variance reviews, and translating technical content into clear training materials. Proficiency in Office and CRM systems. Preferred > Professional Engineer designation (or equivalent endorsements). Hiring Range Details The hiring range for this role is 79,158 – 98,948. The annual salary may vary within this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
