Payroll Technician

An overview of your future role at BBA
You'll report to the Payroll Supervisor and will perform a variety of tasks for our Payroll department. Your responsibilities will cover the entire payroll cycle.

Manage the full payroll cycle: processing recent hires, departures and other employment-related changes

Process payroll every two weeks, ensuring data accuracy for the various provinces of employment across Canada

Ensure salary increases are paid and make retroactive payments, where necessary

Reconcile remittances to various levels of government or other agencies

Carry out payroll reconciliations

Provide support to employees at all BBA offices

Oversee the weekly time sheet processing in the ERP system

Follow up with group insurance and RRSP/DPSP premiums

Help with year-end preparation and control activities

Summary of certifications and job requirements

At least three years of payroll experience

Excellent written communication (English and French)

Bilingual, both spoken and written

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

Asset: knowledge of ADP and Deltek's Maconomy ERP

Asset: high-volume, multi-province payroll experience
