Join the Developmental Disabilities Association as a Community Support Worker in Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on empowering clients through social, emotional, and daily life skill development.
In this permanent, full-time position, you'll assist adult clients to achieve independence in various life skills. The ideal candidate will implement individualized plans, lead person-centered programming, and participate in community activities. Your efforts will enhance the quality of life for clients with developmental disabilities, making a meaningful difference in their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with activities of daily living
• Develop and monitor individual client service plans
• Lead inclusive, engaging programs for diverse abilities
• Foster a welcoming environment for program participants
• Deliver services through community outreach and in office activities
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Social Services or related field
• 1-2 years’ experience with developmental disabilities
• Ability to lift and transfer clients up to 40lbs
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• First Aid/CPR certification required
