Alpha House is seeking a committed individual to work with vulnerable populations in partnership with agencies like CPS and EMS. This role emphasizes independent decision-making, compassion, and strong case management skills. Expect to engage with clients actively, facilitating transportation to safer locations and providing support tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide non-judgmental support to clients in distress
• Conduct outreach sweeps in encampments and hidden areas
• Advocate for clients and collaborate with partner agencies
• Drive agency vehicles for client transport when necessary
• Respond to urgent crises and provide immediate assistance
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Social Sciences or related field
• 1 year experience in crisis counseling or outreach
• Knowledge of addictions, mental health, and harm reduction
• Valid Class 5 AB driver license and transparent driver’s abstract
• Physically able to assist clients in varying conditions
