We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Canadian technology and software group, a agile portfolio company within a well-established, publicly traded parent. With a large number of independently managed software companies, the group offers a unique setting focused on long-term growth, strategic acquisitions, and operational excellence.

This is a highly visible, portfolio-facing role for a candidate who wants to sit alongside a Portfolio CEO and CTO as part of a small executive team, rather than simply report numbers up the chain.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
Act as the primary finance partner for a defined subset of the group's operating businesses ($20m–$30m net revenue), providing financial insights and challenging assumptions alongside executive leadership.
Lead financial reporting and management reporting across the portfolio.
Oversee budgeting,



forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Manage acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation (PPA) processes in support of ongoing M& A activity.
Support operational efficiency initiatives, including process improvements and analysis.
Lead a team of 5–6 finance specialists, including a high-performing offshore team.
Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and assist in revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, and related technical accounting areas.
Help shape the integration of AI agents into finance processes as part of a broader push through 2026.
