FortWhyte Alive is seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Forest School Practitioner to lead children aged 2-12 in immersive nature experiences. You’ll support play-based learning and ensure safety in all weather conditions. As a key member of our Forest School team at FortWhyte Alive, you will guide young learners through engaging activities that foster curiosity and inquiry.

This role requires collaboration with educators to explore child-inspired programming, incorporating Indigenous teachings and principles for a rich learning setting. Key Responsibilities:

- Read and implement site safety assessments
- Collaborate with educators to plan immersive programs
- Provide guidance and training for volunteers
- Foster an emergent curriculum based on children's interests
- Document participant experiences through Storypark Requirements:
- Forest School Practitioner Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year outdoor experience with children
- Successful Police Information Check required
- Able to work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of child-led learning philosophies Lead outdoor adventures that inspire children while ensuring their safety and growth as a Forest School Practitioner.
