Empower individuals while supporting community living as a Community Support Worker at the Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL). This role focuses on promoting independence and inclusion every day.
FSJACL is seeking a passionate support worker to provide person-centered assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. You will work directly in homes and community settings, helping individuals achieve personal goals and access opportunities in social connections, education, and employment. The role includes rotating shifts to meet the needs of individuals for a total of up to 40 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized, person-centered support in various settings
• Promote independence and overall well-being for clients
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and opportunities
• Collaborate with team members for effective support
• Ensure personal safety and empowerment in daily activities
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
• Training in Diabetes management and medication administration
• Crisis Prevention Intervention certification
• Knowledge in Seizure Management techniques
• Commitment to community inclusion and client support
Contribute to meaningful community living through dedicated support and empowerment at FSJACL.
