Equipment Operator

M. Davis Landscape & Design Inc. is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated EquipmentOperator to join our team for the upcoming busy season.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a rapid-paced environment and has experience operating a Skidsteer in residential and commercial landscape construction projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating a skid steer
Experience operating excavators, loaders, and backhoes
Residential and commercial landscape construction experience required
Ability to assist labour crews with general site work when equipment operation is not required
Ability to read and understand utility locates
Experience with final grading is considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
Ability to load and unload trucks and equipment




Must have reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to company and industry standards
Assist foremen and superintendents in completing daily project tasks and objectives
Conduct daily electronic pre-use equipment inspections using a mobile device
Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing and checking fluid levels
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment and cab cleanliness
Follow all company safety procedures, OHSA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements
Participate in daily Pre-Job Safety Assessments (PSAs) and weekly toolbox talks
Properly use PPE, protective devices, and required safety equipment
Adhere to Canadian Landscape Standards and company quality expectations
