About the offer: The People & Culture role is an on-site position based in Tofino, BC, focused on growing an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing team where members work together to create impactful hospitality experiences for guests from around the world. Day-to-day responsibilities include aiding in recruitment and onboarding, coordinating training and development initiatives, and supporting leaders in and encouraging style of performance management and employee relations focused on helping individuals learn and grow within the organization. The role manages HR policies and procedure, and ensures compliance with employment standards and health and safety requirements.
This position could expand into strengthening the organizational culture by facilitating recognition programs,
team-building activities, and open communication channels across departments. The People & Culture role serves as a trusted partner to both management and team members, promoting well-being, engagement, and alignment with Middle Beach Lodge’s values with a focus on offering an exceptional experience. A minimum 12 month commitment is required and qualified applicants will have:
experience in human resources or People & Culture functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
skills in performance management, and supporting leaders in building strong, inclusive teams.
solid interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
a keen interest in facilitating training, development, and culture-building initiatives that support staff growth and engagement.
solid organizational and documentation skills.
demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in the workplace.
Relevant education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; CPHR designation or similar is an asset.
a background in hospitality, tourism, or service-oriented environments is required.
the capacity to work on-site in Tofino, BC, with flexibility to support operations during peak guest seasons.
