Big Country Equipment is hiring Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Welders, Fuel and Lube Truck Operators, Maintenance Planners, and Mechanical Foremen for rotational field roles across Western Canada. These positions operate on a 2x2 schedule supporting mining and oil and gas projects. Trades personnel will handle maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, while planners and supervisors coordinate mechanical operations. Ideal candidates are experienced professionals comfortable working long shifts in remote environments.

Perks & benefits:

Up to $62.50/hour (Trades Personnel)

$37.50/hour (Fuel and Lube Truck Operators)

Overtime up to $93.75/hour (Trades)

Starting at $130,000/year (Maintenance Planner & Scheduler)

Competitive rate (Foreman/Supervisor)

2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation





Paid travel time (up to 4-8 hours each way)

What you’ll need:

Journeyman certification (for skilled trades roles)

Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts

Experience in heavy equipment service and repair (for trades roles)

Relevant experience for planning or supervisory roles

Ability to work in remote, field-based environments

What will make you stand out:

Experience in mining or oil and gas environments

Prior rotational field experience

Robust leadership skills (for Foremen/Supervisors)
