Position Overview The Production Coordinator must thrive in a quick-paced, time-sensitive environment and be comfortable managing multiple priorities under pressure. This role requires experience in garment development and production, along with robust organizational and communication skills.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. They will effectively follow direction, communicate cross-functionally, and troubleshoot issues to ensure production goals and deadlines are met. The ability to build relationships across departments and interpret process documents, procedures, and vendor manuals is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate directly with factories and internal teams regarding art files, strike-offs, lab dips, fabric quality, trims, and labels
Oversee all sample stages, including fit samples, pre-production samples, licensee samples, and testing samples
Review and manage Time & Action (T&A;) calendars to ensure submissions are completed and approvals are met on schedule
Track approval statuses and delivery timelines with vendors
Maintain daily communication with factories to resolve production issues and mitigate delays
Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Production,
and Sales teams to support on-time delivery, margin goals, and business objectives
Develop a strong understanding of major retailer requirements (ticketing, packaging, sizing, compliance, etc.)
Support pre-production processes, including sample reviews, fittings, and material approvals
Coordinate factory visits and audits as needed; act as a liaison between factories and internal teams
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
2+ years of experience in production coordination or a related role in apparel
Experience working with overseas factories and understanding product development processes
Knowledge of garment construction and apparel production
Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions under tight deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
Mandarin/Chinese language skills desired but not mandatory
