Join Saanich Schools as a Youth and Family Support Counsellor, starting September 8, 2026. Your role will be essential in managing academic and emotional needs of students effectively.

This full-time, temporary position covers parental leave for about four weeks, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. You will actively help create a focused and respectful learning environment, bridging the gap between academic challenges and social-emotional needs of students. Collaboration with teachers and families will be vital for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support teachers in behavioral and engagement strategies
• Foster mentorship relationships with students
• Work alongside mental health counsellor for holistic support




• Manage classroom dynamics for positive outcomes
• Communicate with families to enhance student development

Requirements:
• Background in youth counselling or education support
• Excellent relational skills with students and families
• Ability to promote a respectful learning atmosphere
• A commitment to student emotional and academic growth
• Full time availability within school operational hours
