Accounting Technician or Assistant Controller

We are currently recruiting an accounting technician to support an experienced team that has been in place for several years, in a collaborative and down-to-earth work environment with the goal of promoting you to an assistant controller position.

Your Role

In collaboration with the accounting team, you will participate in a variety of tasks that will allow you to develop your versatility and contribute concretely to operations.

Main responsibilities, depending on the new resource's level of experience:

Manage billing and prepare payment requests

Compile and verify supporting documents

Support accounts payable and receivable

Perform accounting data entry and follow-up

Participate in process improvement

Gradually contribute to analyses, reports, and financial statements

Support, if desired, certain payroll-related tasks

Collaborate on various related accounting tasks according to the team's priorities

The Desired Profile

We are looking for a person who is meticulous, resourceful, quick to learn, and eager for autonomy ,



who enjoys understanding processes and making contributions in a concrete and evolving role. A basic training in accounting is required, as well as good proficiency with computer tools.

Desired Assets:

Good foundation in accounting, in the construction environment (important asset)

Ability to manage multiple files methodically

Ease in following documented procedures

Interest in continuous improvement

Good judgment to spot anomalies and resolve discrepancies

Team spirit and collaborative attitude
