Become a proactive Rehabilitation Assistant, supporting both Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Assist patients with rehabilitation activities and ensure a safe, organized workplace for care.
This full-time relief position is essential in providing patient-centered support in an acute care setting. You'll guide patients through prescribed exercises, report on their behaviors and progress, and maintain necessary equipment. Your ability to effectively communicate and handle physical demands will be noticeable in patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with mobility and daily living rehabilitation activities
• Report detailed patient observations to therapists
• Organize and maintain rehabilitation equipment
• Track patient attendance and workload information
• Safely transport patients to treatment areas
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physical ability relevant to position duties
• Solid organizational skills required
• Skilled in operating rehabilitation devices
