Elevate cancer advocacy work with the Canadian Cancer Society as a Specialist in Advocacy Communications. This hybrid role demands expertise in communications strategy and project management.

In this full time role, you will enhance awareness of CCS's advocacy priorities. Your responsibilities include developing communications plans, crafting content, and managing media relations. Ideal candidates possess solid project management skills and experience in advocacy communications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive communications plans for advocacy initiatives
• Liaise with stakeholders to create engaging communication materials
• Advise partners on high-impact communications opportunities




• Translate complex advocacy initiatives into compelling content
• Plan targeted media relations to elevate advocacy priorities

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in communications or related field
• 3-5 years of media relations experience
• Knowledge of government decision-making processes
• Strong editing skills and attention to detail
• Bilingualism in French/English preferred
