This 24-week internship is ideal for an emerging visual artist recently graduated, focused on both artistic practice and arts administration. As part of the residency, you will develop a public body of work and deliver an artist talk, showcasing your creativity. The position requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, with a significant portion of the studio work being versatile between remote and onsite at the 401 Commons Arts Hub.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a body of artwork for public display
• Deliver a public artist talk on your work




• Assist with administrative tasks related to programming
• Contribute to the arts center's initiatives onsite
• Collaborate with SAVAC's Artistic Director and Executive Director

Requirements:
• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Aged between 16 and 30 at start of role
• Recent college or university graduate
• Reside in the GTHA region or able to commute
• Interest in artist-run sectors and visual arts
