We are seeking a versatile General Practice Lawyer to join our growing team in Dartmouth. Ideally, the successful candidate will have three to five years experience. You will manage a diverse caseload and provide high-quality legal counsel to local individuals and businesses. This role is ideal for a proactive skilled who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on real estate, corporate and commercial, wills and estates and personal injury.
Draft and review legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and agreements.
Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and administrative proceedings.
Manage files efficiently from initial consultation to final resolution.
Build relationships within the Dartmouth and Greater Halifax community.
Qualifications
Member in positive standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (or eligible for immediate admission).
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in general legal practice preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client facing interactions.
Excellent time management to handle competing priorities.
