Learn more about us at www.tecnet.ca. The Role TheField Technician plays a critical hands-on role in delivering technical support and installation services directly at client sites. This position involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing system setups, maintaining integrated security systems, and responding to both scheduled and unscheduled service calls. A strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage tasks independently are essential. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver with field experience and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Schedule This is a full-time permanent position with 8-hour shifts from Monday – Friday for a total of 40 hrs weekly.
What we Offer $47,500.00-$57,500.00 per year. Salary commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do: On-Site Support: Visit client sites to provide IT support, solve hardware and software issues, and implement security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Alarms.
Project Work: Assist with diverse projects such as setting up integrated security solutions, network patching, workstation refreshes, and reimaging systems.
Client Communication: Reach out to clients to schedule service calls, explain the nature of technical issues, provide transparent next steps, and communicate any associated costs.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, replacing faulty parts, performing system checks, and documenting the fix.
Call Management: Prioritize and manage incoming service requests based on urgency, ensuring SLAs (Service Level Agreements) is met while maintaining excellent customer service.
Team Collaboration:



Work closely with colleagues to address complex issues, sharing knowledge and supporting each other to solve problems.
Documentation: Accurately record service details, system environments, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and client transparency.
What You Bring: Technical Skills & Education: You have a solid technical background, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Certifications: A+ Hardware & Software certification is required.
Security Experience: While a BC Security License is not mandatory, it’s definitely a plus. Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Alarms is an asset.
Additional Skills: Knowledge of printer systems is beneficial.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities with a solution-oriented approach to challenges.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Compliance: Must pass a criminal background check.
Driving: A valid BC driver’s license is required, as the role involves traveling between client locations.
